MSP430FR2676: Peripheral Level Code Development

Hello All,

I are developing a battery operated device which would have 12 cap-sense Input button, with one I2C based sensor and two UART based sensor interface to it.

For this device we have selected MSP430FR2676 MCU.

I am using CCS 9.2 and MSP ware 3.80.13.03 with Captivate FR2676 developement Kit,

For peripheral development i was referring "MSP430 DriverLib for MSP430FR2xx 4xx Devices" guide.

However i am not able to find any example of related MSP430FR2676 also the examples from driver library doesn't support MSP430FR2676 as i was not ale to find any Board.h file with respect my selected MCU.

I also generated a empty blinky project in CCS but i dint get any driver library adding options.

In MSPware i have also got register level driver codes on the below link

So my query was,

So do we have to use the register level driver code and then build our own library on top of it ? If yes then is there any relevant document to understand the register level driver code apart from data sheet (If any Please share)?

We only have the register level examples. The documentation for how these registers are being configured in these examples can be found in the family user's guide:

Hello Leo,

Thank you for your suggestions and help,

When i imported an example from "MSP430FR2xx_4xx" driver library i found that there is rom header file for MSP430FR2676

So my question was, as there is a rom header file which links for the MSP430FR2676, so can i try mapping this driver library in my code instead of using register level code.

By mapping i means will only use the required files (like gpio.h, gpio.c, i2c.h, i2c.c etc) from driver library and link the MCU specific header file (i.e., msp430fr2676.h).

Please help me with this at the earliest

Hi Utkarash,

Yes, you can use the driverlib ROM functions. These will begin with MAP_.
