MSP430F47177: ADC interrupt & Hardware Multiplier Issue

Part Number: MSP430F47177
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS131M08,

Hi All,

We are using ADS131M08 AFE to measure voltage, current values, interfaced to MSP430F47177.

Earlier we did the same using in-built ADC of MSP430F47177. While using internal ADC, hardware multiplier was used. (ASM code for hardware multiplier exists in code)

We didn't change the code & used it for ADS131M08 part. Code executes upto the hardware multiplier part but then enters into NMI interrupt.

Any idea why this is happening.

Thanks & Regards

  • Hi,

I have no idea on your code fault issue. If the code is done with asm, it would be possible that you used a wrong address in your code. NMI interrupt usually caused by a wrong address fetching. Please be carefully on the code design and you cannot directly reuse an ASM code since the data source was changed.
