I have installed Out of the box and tried to read the temperature, I can connect but I cant get any readings. Should I program the kit through code composer studio before connecting it with GUI? If so, Is there any default programs in code composer studio? How to program it? How to do signal Processing?

I use out of box demo GUI. What program should I dump into microcontroller before using the demo version of GUI to log Temperature or data ?? How to work with GUI???
