Good day.

Our customer is interested to use the EVM430-FR6043. In addition, he wanted to know the information about the small boards used in the following video where EVM430-FR6043 was also featured:

I attached the snapshot of these small boards from this video link.

His application is to measure the breath flow rate. He wanted to have the setup like in the video.

In relation to that, our customer wanted to know how many khz piezo transducer should he use to measure breath flow.

Hi Chris,

I think this demo is design by MSP430FR5043(The difference with FR6043 is that there is no LCD), and for gas meter or ventilator. Generally, We will recommend 500KHz or 200KHz transducers.

Hi Johnson,

Can you help to identify the part numbers of these small boards? I looked at the FR5043 product folder and I only found the EVM430-FR6043 under it. Do you think these small boards are still available?

Hi Chris,

I think this board should a TI design, and now not release to ti.com.

Yes, the only different between FR6043 and FR5043 is LCD module.

And you should use EVM430-FR6043 to evaluate your function, because this EVM have eZ-FET and USB-HID use to connect PC for debug.
