Hi,
On some of our designs, we are using MSP430f149IPM and that has been performing very well for us in the last decades.
As our features in the product are growing and we want to use most of the existing code. We are currently looking for controller replacement for MSP430f149 with more Flash, RAM and 2 more UARTS peripheral. Therefore, I would really need some expert suggestion and please provide more than 2 options so that I can compare.
Regards,
William
Hi William,
It will be easy to find a device with higher memory in MSP430. But for the device with 3 UART, it is limited. The suitable device would be MSP430FR5041
What about 1 uart using software to realize?
Eason
Hi Eason,
Thanks for the quick reply, I think non volatile memory is very important in our design so it cannot be less than 60kB. I would not mind 3 UART or 2UART + 1 software realised UART.
Regards,
William
I think you can search the device under this link:https://www.ti.com/microcontrollers-mcus-processors/microcontrollers/msp430-micrcontrollers/products.html
Actually, all MSP430 series are almost same. We have some migration guide for you as a reference.
You can refer to this document:https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slau840/slau840.pdf
You can find the migration guide in it, on page 23
