Hello,
Looking at the datasheet, both the recommended operating free-air temperature and operating junction temperature ranges are listed as -40 to +85C. If the ambient temperature is +85C and the device is dissipating any power, the junction temperature spec will be violated... so it seems incorrect that both maximum temperatures can be +85C.
I'm hoping that the datasheet is incorrect, and that someone could identify what the correct maximum junction temperature for this device (specifically, PN MSP430F5528IYFF) is.
