MSP430F5514: About timing of password access at USB BSL

Regarding to password at USB BSL on MSP430F5514, my customer is asking a question.

(Question)

When password is accessed, is there possible that it is failed because the timing of password access from PC(USB host) was delayed?

Is there timeout for password access?

The is no timeout hare.

What's the software on PC do you use? Is it BSL script? More information about the BSL script http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slau655f/slau655f.pdf

Sorry for delay.

My customer is using BSL_USB_GUI for firmware update.
Is there no timeout for password same as BSL script?

There is no timeout here.

Does use the host software in the "MSP430USBDevelopersPackage_5_20_06_02" like "Python_Firmware_UpgraderGUI.exe"?

Hi Tao

I have try it on my side with this software and the LED blink demo with no problem.(I use the msp430f5514 with the MSP-TS430RGC64USB target board)

Here I have two suggests:

1. make sure the customer make right operation to invoke the BSL： Pull up the PUR to VBUS when power on the device.

2. measure the high speed crystal works well (If they can give the wave capture is better)
