Current: 12V
sensored or sensorless
sinusodial drive (!!!)
target rpm 33-78 (turntable)

Hello Holger,
By "Current: 12V", do you mean: "Voltage: 12V"?
Also, to make a proper recommendation, we need to know the power of the motor. Could you please provide this information?
best,
Johnny
Sorry, didn´t see the answer because of Spam Filter.
I have a 12V Power source.
Motor Characteristic: Torque: 4970g @ 5V & 0.75A
Regards Holger
Hi Holger,
I assume that the motor characteristic means you plan on driving the motor off of a 5V supply? Or does the motor run at 12V and 5V results from a 42% PWM duty cycle? If you can run your motor driver off of 12V that does open up more options for you.
You may want to check out DRV10974 (Sensorless) and DRV10970 (Sensored). They are both 12V capable but DRV10974 can also operate down to 4.4V. If you want the motor supply to be 5V, the best option is DRV10963 or DRV10964.
Thanks,
Matt
Hello Holger,
A sensored solution will work at any speed while a sensorless approach will not work at very low speeds due to a lack of back-EMF. However if the motor has a very high pole count the motor can still have a low mechanical RPM.
Please see this DRV10x selection FAQ for some more details: LINK
Thanks,
Matt
