Due to PWB real estate, I am wnating to use less decoupling for the GVDD. The datasheet shows 330uF, but we don't have the room for a large thru-hole wet tantalum. Engineer is wanting to use three (3) 100uF solid tantalums. Banking solids is not good because of the risk of too much current going through the cap with the lowest ESR.
Anyway, I want to use less capacitance to avoid banking.
The 12V is being supplied by an LM1086 which already has 100uF on the output. Can I get away with just using another (single) 100uFish part on the driver?
