Dear sir or madam,

sadly I'm not able to control the motor control unit (DRV10974RUMR) by PWM nor by a static digital high or low level. The motor controller remains to control the BLDC pump (Pump keeps working but cannot turned off or on nor adjusted in the intensity) - Irrespective of the PWM input signal. The FG pin keeps always HIGH.

What can I do to control the motor control unit by PWM?

Stephan,

PWM pin has an internal pull up to 2.2V. When external PWM is applied, device auto detects the incoming PWM and switches to PWM mode. External PWM frequency range is 0.1 kHz to 100 kHz with VIH of 2.2V. Can you check if the PWM signal falls in this range?

Thanks for your response! I'm using a PWM signal (3.3V) of 1kHz. Anyway can't I just put a digital 0V on this PWM pin to switch off the motor controller? Sadly if I do this, the motor is still running.

Pulling the PWM pin to GND should stop the motor. Can you share the schematic?

Your schematic looks good. Can you monitor the PWM signal to make sure the duty cycle is 0%? Do you see similar issue with DRV10974EVM
