DRV8316: BLDC Integrated MOSFET Thermal Calculator PWM frequency limit

I would like to inquire about the PWM frequency support of the DRV8316 driver, specifically why the BLDC Integrated MOSFET Thermal Calculator lists the maximum supported frequency as 75kHz, while the DRV8311 supports up to 200kHz. According to their respective datasheets, both drivers are capable of handling up to 200kHz. Is there any difference between the DRV8316 and DRV8311 drivers that would limit the PWM frequency of the DRV8316 to 75kHz in practical applications?

Hi Pavol,

Thank you for pointing out that the PWM frequency of the DRV8316 Thermal calculator is limited to 75kHz instead of 200kHz. As you point out the DRV8316 is capable of supporting a PWM frequency of 200kHz and this should have been reflected in the thermal calculator as well. We will correct this mistake and release a new version once this error is fixed.
