Hi Team,

Could you please kindly help to check what is the accuracy for the current sense of DRV8718-Q1? How customer evaluate the accuracy of the current sense? 

If customer want to detect four motors current, do we have reference design for this kind of application? Thank you very much for your support.

    Hello Jie,

    We do not have a specific spec related to current sense accuracy for DRV8718-Q1.

    However, GAIN error and input offset are a main factor for accuracy. Externally AREF input accuracy and sense resister % also will impact  accuracy.

    Let me get back to you on whether or not we have some sort of reference design.

    Jie,

    For 4 bi-directional motors requiring 4 full-bridges + current monitoring, we would recommend 2x DRV8714.  This will include 4 amplifiers needed to measure current in 4 bi-directional motors.

    Reference design is our EVM with files available on ti.com.
