MCT8316Z: I need a part similar to this that has a speed loop and sensors

Part Number: MCT8316Z

Hello, I'm looking for a part similar to the MCT8316 that has a constant speed loop. We can't go sensorless, because we can't afford to have the motor move to align to a known position before starting motion. Are there any components TI has that do both of these?

Hi Alcor,

Thanks for your question on the motor drives E2E forum. Had you looked at going sensorless but using the IPD startup method? This will allow for rotor position detection without aligning.

The note on IPD starts at around 4:50 but I recommend watching the whole video to learn about sensorless startup methods.
