MCF8316A: Questions about two buck modes of MCF8316A

Hi,

The buck of MCF8316A has two working modes, the following is my question：

If IBK_MAX＜10mA, the inductance mode of 22uH can fully support it, and only the inductance mode is enough, then what is the meaning of the resistance mode? we know that the efficiency of the resistance mode is lower.

Hi Yunsheng,

The resistor mode is an option to lower efficiency in return for cost and space savings, if your project needs it, since resistors are cheaper and smaller than inductors.
