DRV8718-Q1: Dual Power Supply of Vbat

There shouldn't be any issues with this setup for the DRV8718 device.  However, you'll have to deal with the common issues of dual power supplies like making sure both power supplies don't "fight" each other trying to maintain the voltage and burn one supply out.  My recommendation would be to treat it as a normal challenge of dual-power supplies, and if you can make a clean reliable VM voltage rail with sufficient current then our device will work fine with it. 

I also pinged our Automotive expert about this question to see his thoughts on it.

I am apps for automotive motor driver. 

If customer's system block is exactly what you describe, I do not see the issue. However I am wondering it is not correct information. 

Sometimes customer considers the following configuration as "Dual supply system" then it has system issue. I would like to suggest to confirm customer's schematic.
