Hey Jason,

Please see section 7.3.8.11 Offline Short Circuit and Open Load Detection (OOL and OSC). You must be using the SPI variant, this feature is not available on hardware device variants.

What I understand from your slides for "PH/EN or PWM mode".

Can I understand that the data you sent me works the same for "Independent PWM Mode"?

It seems like "Independent PWM Mode" case is motor already connected to Battery or GND. Short detection available?

Plz, help me to understand for open and short case for " independent PWM Mode"

Hi,

Thank you for your question.

With half bridge independent mode, DRV8705-Q1 can check load condition as attached.

Documentation is available only for High side drive. Please let me know if low side driving.
