Hi Team,

I simulated the junction temperature through attached estimator, but it is already over thermal shutdown temp under condition of 21A load current. Please check it and let me know the reason why.

Hi,

Thank you for your questions. 21A is peak current capability. Here is current capability including thermal (Datasheet page 20)

If higher current ~20A is required, here is current capability table with Ta=85C. Or gate driver (e.g DRV8706-Q1) can be used.

If you provide followings, I can propose our motor driver to fit.

-Customer name. Application use case (e.g door lock, window lift etc)

-Load profile. Peak current ??A@??msec. Typical current. ??A@??sec

-PWM frequency.

Hi Shinya,

Customer's application is motor controller for door lock. They already fixed DRV8244 as motor driver for their application, so now they are designing and verifying it. I will let you know if they have any questions.
