I apologize for the lack of communication on this thread, and i'm just following up on this thread to see if there are still any open questions/ interests in this matter.  

From my understanding, the amplification of the driver should be accurate to the expected tolerances, and they may be necessary additional optimization of the combination of gain setting and external Rsense resistor. Does this difference in value persist after swapping ICs?

Thanks for the clarification.  

Can you measure the impedance of the amplifier input pins on the unit showing odd behavior in comparison to a different sampling unit? It may be that somehow the input pins experienced either abs max damage, or another internal issue unique to the IC that is causing this change
