DRV10983: EVM GUI demo

Hi Annie Liu,

I have a question about the upper computer use case for this. Do they want to automate the DRV10983 interfacing? Are they using or planning to have Labview ?

GUI has widget related sections for manual control, if user wants to use the communication engine (I2C interface) with their custom code we can verify

I will be able to get more clarity on the Labview handlers to you by mid of next week .

Thanks for your response. Customer is using Labview. In addition, he found the I2C interface function in USB2ANY.dll for communicating with DRV10983. If there are Labview examples to demonstrate how to call and process these APIs, it will be helpful for customizing the host computer.

Customer can install the GUI from this link DRV10983EVM Evaluation board | TI.com

While installing GUI it updates LabView drivers, the package contains all related Labview drivers.

Using GUI we can communicate to DRV10983 via USB2ANY interface.

Two available dll files were found in the directory of the GUI, namely "USB2ANY.dll" and "Device GUI.dll" in the Shared Library. It seems that the functions in "Device GUI.dll" are more integrated. Because there is no corresponding documentation, customers do not know how to call "Device GUI.dll". Is there any corresponding documentation or labview demo program?

Using this API we need to implement in Labview for reading and writing to the device.

Please refer to the USB2ANY API reference guide.

I am aware of USB2ANY drivers but not used Device dll.  USB2ANY DLL  is good and I have used wit python for customizing I2C frame. 

I will check about Device.dll and update you.

Hi Annie,

USB2ANY.dll labview drivers are more open library compared to Device GUI which is customized to use with the IDLE GUI.

The functions are abstracted, example code in Python is available in the scripts folder.

To develop with any other framework better to use USB2ANY.DLL
