DRV8328: DRV8328A DT setting

For DRV8328A variant DT is configured using the DT pin. I believe you would still need gate resistors to adjust the slew rate so if you're okay with the default slew rate then there wouldn't be a need for a gate resistor however I would still design a 0 ohm resistor in just in case you decide to change this later

Yes, this would be okay.

When you say you dont want to use VDSLVL do you also mean you want to disable the VDS overcurrent protection? If that is the case then VDSLVL can be tied to GVDD using a 100k ohm resistor

Are you planning on having the device on at all times? I think regardless the NSLEEP pin needs a pull up resistor. Whether you use the sleep feature or not will be up to you.

You're asking if nSLEEP pin is used to clear fault conditions? Yes this pin is used to clear latched faults.

nSLEEP pin is 'active low' - meaning if you pull it low towards 0V, the device will be put into a low-power-consumption SLEEP mode. This pin is typically driven by a GPIO from the MCU to toggle the device in/out of sleep mode, but the MCU can probably only operate on logic-level voltage (<5V) that's why there's a 3.3V clamping diode to limit what voltage the MCU sees
