DRV8912-Q1: The periodic spike appears in PWM Duty cycle 100%

Part Number: DRV8912-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello everyone,

I am currently using the DRV8912. The half-bridge high-side switch is enabled and mapped to a PWM channel. The duty cycle is 100%. The MCU only communicates via SPI during the initialization phase and then stops communicating. At this point, I have observed the following phenomenon:

When the PWM frequency is 100 Hz, the half-bridge output voltage produces a spike every 10 milliseconds. When the PWM frequency is 200 Hz, the half-bridge output voltage produces a spike every 5 milliseconds.

Since the application above does not involve voltage changes, these spikes do not seem to be caused by the slew rate or dead time. I would like to ask what other possibilities could cause this phenomenon?
