Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CSD18563Q5A
Tool/software:
Dear Texas Instruments Support Team ,
I am reaching out to inquire about the compatibility of the DRV8301 motor driver with a 13S lithium-ion battery setup, which has a nominal voltage of 48V and a maximum fully charged voltage of approximately 54.6V. Additionally, I am using a 48V 2kW motor in this configuration.
Could you please confirm if this setup falls within the safe operational limits of the DRV8301? I am particularly concerned about the potential effects of voltage spikes that may occur during operation. Could these spikes impact the performance or longevity of the DRV8301, and would you recommend any additional protection for this setup?
Additionally, I plan to use two CSD18563Q5A MOSFETs in parallel to help reduce the current. Could you confirm if this MOSFET model is suitable for my application in conjunction with the DRV8301?
If the DRV8301 is not the optimal choice for this application, could you suggest an alternative IC that might be more suitable for ensuring stable performance and minimizing voltage-related issues?
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
