I have below two questions for DRV8876QPWPRQ1:

If this BDC driver is used for driving the relay coil, could it control the current? For example, start at 3.5A and maintain at 2A.
Could this current be sensed by MCU?

Hi Josh,

Yes, current regulation is possible with this driver. Here is a FAQ on current sensing:

You would something like a DAC to feed to VREF to change the current regulation set point to do peak and hold.
