1. DRV8706SQRHBRQ1 Half-Bridge Configuration
We are currently using the DRV8706SQRHBRQ1 to implement a Half-Bridge.
At the customer’s request, we have applied a parallel FET configuration for the Half-Bridge.

In this configuration, we would like to confirm whether applying a parallel FET arrangement as shown in the attached schematic is acceptable.
If there are any potential concerns, we would greatly appreciate your guidance on what issues might be expected.

    Could you share your company name and application use case (e.g seat position control motor, window lift motor etc)?

    1. Parallel connection cannot be used with DRV. Please use one FET for each GH or GL.

    2. Will do schematic feedback later.

    By the way, could you share how many brakes/motor in car? How many DRV are you going to drive one motor/brake?

  • I am using one brake, and one DRV is used per brake. In your reviews, there is a statement that 'DRV8106S-Q1 is the single half-bridge version of DRV8706-Q1.' However, I believe the DRV8106S supports an SPI interface rather than being a single half-bridge version. Is that correct?

    Thank you for your feedback, I would like to clarify our device line up here.

    1) DRV8106S-Q1: 1 CH half bridge (1/2 H-bridge) gate driver with SPI interface/inline current sense x 1pcs

    2) DRV8706S-Q1: 2 CH half bridge (1 H-bridge) gate driver with SPI interface/inline current sense x 1pcs

    3) DRV8705S-Q1: 2 CH half bridge (1 H-bridge) gate driver with SPI interface/ Lowside only current sense x 1pcs

    If your braking motor is H-bridge configuration, DRV8706S-Q1 should be good one. I considered you are using SH1/GH1/GL1/SL1 only, then SH2/GH2/GL2/SL2 are not used in your schematic

    Can I ask this question?

    a)Is your brake motor H-Bridge configuration? or High side/Low side load by one half bridge driver?

    b)How many brake motor will be used in one car?
