CCS/DRV8880EVM: GUI Installation problems

Hi Paolo,

Sometimes company networks are protected and do not allow our GUI to install properly. Please try installing it while connected to another network or on an unprotected computer. You may need to work with your IT department for this.

Let me know if that does not solve your problem.

I have connected my pc to internet through my cell phone, disabled firewall and antivirus and then tried to install the software but with the same results. Have you an other suggest?

Hi Paolo,

In your first post you said that you tried to download the GUI Composer runtime app separately, correct? After you run that installer, you should be able to run the GUI installer. Did you do this? One thing you can try is restarting your computer between between the runtime installation and the GUI installation.

I tried this sequence:

1) Download the board GUI installer (slvc627.zip) and unzip the contents in C:\DRV8880EVM;

2) unzip the directory C:\DRV8880EVM Software Files\GUI\DRV8880EVM_installer;

3) Download the runtime installer (gcruntime-7.0.0-windows-installer.exe);

4) First method: execution of the runtime intstaller file, PC reboot, execution of the GUI installer: The GUI installer do not found the runtime;

5) Second metod, execution of the GUI installer and then when the program ask for runtime installation file, select the downloaded runtime installation file;

6) Reboot of the PC;

7) Try to execute the installed software from the icon (DRV8880EVMV1.0), the execution fail with this message;

8) After pressed Correggi key the program run but crash at start with this portion of image on the screen

9) and the only way to kill this window is through esplora risorse killing nwjs.

In your first post, you are using version 2 of the runtime, but in this most recent post, you are using version 7.

Can you try downloading it from the URL below? If it doesn't install correctly, try running it again in compatibility mode for an older version of windows.

You can also try installing the whole GUI using compatibility mode.
