DRV8850: VPROPI left open, any issue?

Part Number: DRV8850

Dear TI

We are using the DRV8850 on a PCB to drive a motor. We don't use the VPROPI functionality and as the datasheet does not specify anything, we left the VPROPI pin open. We don't experience any issues so far.

I understand the previous answer "According to current setting equation R(VPROPI)=2000 x VCC 1 V / IOUT. If R(VPROPI) is open, the IOUT would be zero. So, please add that resistor.".

But how does the internal circuitry actually behave if VPROPI is left unconnected? Might there be any unexpected behavior or excessive current consumption?

Thank you and best regards

Thomas
