Hi,
I am looking into some gate drive control register, about the gate current setting, how will if affect our design if we choose different driver current?
Thanks

Hello,
Thanks for posting on the MD forum!
You need to check the signals of your FET, measure using a scope from Gate to Source and check if there is any overshoot/undershoot/ringing.
Also please check the rise time and fall time of your switch node and see if it's acceptable.
Raising or lowering the gate current will speed up or slow down your output rise time. If it becomes too fast then you could have ringing issues or overshoot/undershoot which is undesireable.
If the gate current is too low then you may stay in the resistive region of the FET turn ON/OFF too long and your FETs will heat excessively.
