DRV8350: Sequence for Vds monitor

Hi,

Is there procedure to start Vds monitor? For example,

1. Power ON -> start monitor Vds -> detect failure condition during t_ocp -> Set nFault
or
2. Power ON -> wait raising edge of INHx -> wait ?? us -> start monitor Vds -> detect failure condition during t_ocp -> Set nFault

I would like to know if Vds monitor works just after POR or there is sequence after POR.

Nagata-San,

The VDS monitors are active when the associated FET is ON.

Hi, Adam -san,

Could you please let me know more detail about the status of FET on? I guess it may have two timing as below. one of them is rising edge as green and another is stable as red. which timing is Vds monitor start to check?

Nagata-San,

The VDS monitors start checking from the time the INPUT is recognized as HIGH after the deglitch time.

Could you please confirm above your comment?

Is it mean there is a deglitch time bfore starting VDS monitor as below?

- Detect FET ON -> wait deglitch time(tocp) -> Start VDS monitor -> Vds_ocv protection will occure when detect Vds_ocv condition for deglitch time(tocp) -> …
