DRV2667: How to make RAM data(waveform data) of DRV2667.

Part Number: DRV2667
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: , USB2ANY

Hi.

We're making DRV2667 custom board.

We wanna know how to make RAM data(waveform data).

We posted below thread in the past.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/motor-drivers/f/38/t/885573

(We couldn't say thank you to Luis Fernando Rodriguez because it was too late. We'd like to this opportunity to thank you to him)

Is there any way to make waveform data without HCC+USB2any+DRV2667EVM-CT?

We don't have USB2any and not only us but also our customer will edit waveform.

So we wanna edit only by software and evaluate it with our custom board directly.

For example, one of our idea,

we found that a digital audio editor, it can export wav file formatted "8bit-unsigned PCM".

We wondered that using data part of this file is valid.

But, Seems like in this format,

0x00 : Negative full scale

0x80 : No signal

0xFF : Positive full scale

These not fit the format in the RAM of DRV2667.

Its data format in the RAM is...

0x00 : No signal

0x80 : Negative full scale

0xFF : Positive full scale

Does anybody tried to edit waveform by similar way?

We're not familiar in audio area....Please give us an advice.

thank you.

  • Hi, Yazawa-san,

I think the RAM data is in another format.

The RAM manager option in Haptics Control Console has been designed to give the user all the necessary tools to create his own algorithms. The data is stored in Amplitude, Frequency, Cycles and Envelope. Even if you don't have a USB2ANY tool, you can use the RAM manager of Haptics Control Console in order to get the different values that you require to create your desired effect. Unfortunately, this data cannot be exported from any other editor and you will need to create it step by step.

Please let me know if you have additional questions or comments.

    Best regards,
    Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
