I'm wondering what the max ERPM the chip can handle, that is the motor RPM*Polepairs
I'm working with a motor that runs at 25k RPM, 6 pole pairs, 75k ERPM *3 pole pairs
And if it's not possible with this chip, is there a drop-in replacement that supports higher ERPM?

Thanks for posting on the MD forum!

The chip does not care what the RPM is, as long as the BEMF of the motor does not exceed the applied DRV power supply voltage then the motor can be accelerated further.

Is there not a maximum tracking speed the chip can handle? Wouldn't the back emf amplitude stay relatively constant as the frequency goes up?

Hello,

Back-EMF voltage increases as motor RPM increases. the DRV8302 has no closed loop operation or control so it does not cause any limitation on RPM. As long as the voltage applied to the bridge is higher than the Back-EMF of the motor, the RPM can increase.
