DRV8834: About Itrip accuracy

Part Number: DRV8834

Hi,

I have a question related to the following E2E threads.
e2e.ti.com/.../862852
>You can expect the Vtrip accuracy to vary by +/- 2%.
>This does not include the VREFO tolerance of  of +/- 5%. Total accuracy when using VREFO can be +/- 7%.
Could you tell me the VREF voltage that confirmed the above accuracy?

We want to calculate the Itrip accuracy.
I think the Itrip accuracy is affected by VREF range.
Please tell me the accuracy information that changes depending on the Vref voltage condition.

Regards,
Yusuke

  • Yusuke-san,

"Could you tell me the VREF voltage that confirmed the above accuracy?"

The datasheet recommends that xVREF is connected to VREFO to get +/-5% on xREF.

"Please tell me the accuracy information that changes depending on the Vref voltage condition."

I don't have test data to show the accuracy at different VREF. But, we can estimate it by assuming that the total current error won't be reduced by reducing the xVREF.  For example: If total accuracy when using 2V VREFO can be +/- 7%. When xVREF is 1V, the total accuracy would be 14%.
