Hello,

We're designing Automotive motor drive with UDC MAX = 880V. Regarding standard we need creepage min. 10mm. All your reinforced isolated gate drivers are specified to work on 5700Vrms, but has creepege only 8mm. How can we use your gate driver in your application if 10mm creepage is needed by standard - check table 4 in attached document. 

Our pullution degree is 2.

    Borut, 

    The material group is 1, so the min creepage requirement, per table, is 5mm not 10mm.

    please see Insulation specifications in the datasheet page 7.

    Hello,

    This is not true if reinforced insulation is needed. Then creapage is 10mm - read note bellow table 4, taken out of IEC60664-1 standard!

    And ISO5852S is declared as reinforced insulated.

    Hi Borut,

    You are correct. For ISO5852S up to 800V the gate driver is reinforced insulated with 8mm creepage, but at 1kV the driver would be considered as basic insulation. The ISO5852S or the other drivers in our product family would not be able to meet the 10mm creepage requirement.
