No end of charge signal from controller

Hello Jim,

The bq25101 will terminate charge based on current delivered to the OUT pin. If the load on the battery is too high it can prevent charge from terminating.

Can you attach your schematic for review? That image did not upload correctly.

The other thing to mention is that I have connected a battery ONLY to the eval board and I get the same result with the ?CHG pin not changing.

Based on your schematic charge should be terminating when current leaving the OUT pin goes below ~7mA.

Agreed, however, I cannot get it to terminate with /CHG going high - even when battery charge current gets down to uA.

I'm stuck and need this fixed as it is holding up the development and release of files for manufacture. Do I have any options other than changing the IC (bq25101) to an-other,  at this very late stage.

Parts already purchased and at Jabil factory ?

Is the TS pin pulled low or floated/driven high? This puts charger in TTDM where termination is disabled.

Hi Nick,

I have made the TS pin tied low through a 10k resistor as this TS is not used.

I realise the schematic you have has the TS floating, this has not been changed to a pull-down resistor 10k.
