We recently had two instances of HO to SW shortage. It is 48V to 15V converter. The circuit has been in use for quite long time. Just wonder what may be the cause for this type of failure.

    Hi Xuedong,

    Check the high-side gate waveforms for overvoltage and undervoltage (i.e. overshoot/undershoot and ringing due to parasitic inductance). Note that HO and SW traces should be routed as a diff pair to minimize gate loop inductance. Send on the applicable waveforms for review.
