LMG1210: Adjusting Potentiometers

Part Number: LMG1210
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC2G17

Hello,

I am trying to start up the LMG1210 on PWM Mode. My question is to what values exactly R13 and R14 should be configured?

I am using an arbitrary generator with 50% duty cycle and 1V amplitude. On the output side, I am connecting an electronic load, the voltage reading is zero.

I measured the outputs of U2 and can see that the voltage on EN is zero as well.

 Thanks,

Fatema Alshehhi

  • Hello Fatema,

Thanks for reaching out!  I assume you are looking at the EVM for the LMG1210.

R13 and R14 are potentiometers that configure the deadtime of the device when in PWM mode.  R13 sets the High-to-Low deadtime and R14 sets the Low-to-High deadtime.  The resistances can be calculated using Section 7.3.3 of the datasheet (Equations 4 and 5):

Also, please ensure jumper J6 is disconnected to allow for PWM mode.

Regarding U2 ( SN74LVC2G17 ), when powered with a 5.5V Vcc, the minimum input threshold voltage is 2.2V.  So, the reason U2 has no output is likely due to insufficient waveform voltage.

I hope this fixes your problem / answers your question.  If so, please press the green button, otherwise feel free to follow up.

    Thanks,
