BQ76952: can I use the configured BQ76952-gg.csv file to directly import the bq76952 chip?

Part Number: BQ76952
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76942, BQSTUDIO

TI experts.

I have used the bq76942 chip and the bq76952 chip,

can I use the configured BQ76952-gg.csv file to directly import the bq76952 chip?

If the answer is yes, then I only need to modify the parameters of the bq76952 a little.

  • Hi jmyang,

Yes, you can directly import the gg.csv file to the chip using BQStudio. In the Data Memory Tab there is an import button near the top right of the panel.

    Hope this helps.

    Best,

    Andrew

  • Andrew,

     Sorry, I made a mistake.

I have used the bq76942 chip and the bq76952 chip,

can I use the configured BQ76942-gg.csv file to directly import the bq76952 chip?

If the answer is yes, then I only need to modify the parameters of the bq76952 a little.

  • Thank you for the clarification. We tested this and you are able to import BQ76942-gg.csv files onto the bq76952 chip. There will be warnings saying the file does not contain a few parameters (primarily parameters specific to Cells 11-16) so you will need to address those but it will import without issue otherwise.

    Hope this helps,

    Andrew
