TPS543B20: Stacked-Mode: Enable of slave device

Hi team,

I'm working on a PEX88048 power design.

I am considering using a pair of TPS544B20s in stacked mode, I have a question on the Enable of slave device:

Should the EN pin of the slave device be left float or be connected to the EN pin of the master? Which one is correct？

Hi Terry,

When using the TPS543B20 in a stacked configuration, the EN pin of both the primary and secondary devices must be connected to whatever is used to generate the EN logic. As you mentioned, you may connect the master EN pin to the slave EN pin if you want both devices to begin operating in tandem.

Thank you for your suggestion. I have another question now, is it recommended to output 0.9V / 44A in stack 2X?

Yes, the TPS543B20 can support 0.9Vout and 44A in a 2x stacked configuration.
