CSD87588N: CSD87588N marking datecode convention

Part Number: CSD87588N

Hi there,

First , thanks a lot for help ,

here is our question : we have this part on hand , and the marking on the part "09I" , how can I think which week of this part refer to ?

As the box label shows "2041+5" , while according to our file , "09I" means year of 2020  Sep.

Thanks.

  • Hello Carl,

Thanks for your interest in TI FETs. You are correct that the part marking of "09I" indicates a date code of September 2020. I checked with the product engineer and the box marking is explained as follows:

The +5 is extended shelf life for 5 years.  You only have one (1) date code and lot number in the your reel.  If you had more date codes and lots you see 2DC and 2Q populated.  If there were more than 2, you would have an additional label.

“Extended Shelf Life program utilizes an enhanced moisture barrier bag (MBB) capable of 6 years

with correct number of desiccants for the application. Thus allowance for 5 years of total shelf life

at TI coupled with one year beginning with shipment to customer’s facility.”

  • Hi John,

thanks for that , also small problem here , so our label is 2041+5 , which means  year 2020, week 41 , however you said "09I" means September 2020, as calendar shows week 41 should be October , we need to explain this point.

    Thanks

  • Hi Carl,

Thanks again for your interest in TI FETs. The product engineer checked the lot trace code and it looks like some of these lots started at the end of September but were not completed until October. Hence, the difference in the date code marked on the device (September 2020) and the box (October 2020). In the future, please contact your local TI sales representative or the TI customer service center for these types of issues. E2E is dedicated to application and design issues. I have included a link below.
