DATE CODE MARKING

hello,

I am working with the obsolete reference DS3695ATM/NOPB, but the parts have different lot marking:

3B42

41LH

M9AC_1

M9AC_2

MCAC

MFAB

MHAB

MJAB

MSRB

MTAD

MVAB

How can i know to which week and year each one corresponds to?

thanks.

  • Hi Daniel,

Are these codes from the top-side markings of the ICs or are they from the packaging? I ask because the codes beginning with "M" are not what I would typically expect from a date code. If you could provide a photo it may help to clarify.

In general, though, you can read the date code from the top of the IC. The top line (next to the company logo) should be a four-character code. The first character corresponds to the least-significant digit of the year, and the second character represents the month (1 = January, 2 = February, ..., A = October, B = November, ...). The next two characters are a lot code which we could use to look up further info on the device. So, a code of 3B42 would mean November 2013.

    Regards,
    Max
