BQ4050: Charge Term Taper Current setup issue

Part Number: BQ4050
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO

Hi team,

The customer now has the following question:

There is a setup item in the software setup: Charge Term Taper Current, the customer finds once the charge current reaches this value when the battery is charging, the battery is off (charging MOS is off), and the SOC goes to 100%.

The specification states that the Charge Term Taper Current parameter is related to the battery charge cut-off, but the customer does not understand why the SOC must go to the value set by Charge Term Taper Current to jump to 100%. Because if Charge Term Taper Current is set very small, the SOC will take a long time from 99 to 100.

Could you help check this case? Thanks!

Best Regards,

Cherry
