Hello team,
Our customer is planning to replace TPS54229DDAR for delivery issue, and assumed if TPS54229E could be considered as an alternative.
As far as I saw the datasheet, it seemed fine, but could you confirm if there are any characteristic differences?
Also, is it OK to think that this IC will automatically transition to ECO mode without any configuration or external circuit required?
Best Regards,
Ryotaro Fukui
Yep, TPS54229E can be considered alternate part for TPS54229. Only difference is the eco-mode operation which does not require any external circuit or special configuration to work. IC will automatically transition from PWM to PFM and vice versa due to this eco-mode feature.
Thanks,
Amod
Hi Amod,
Sorry for the late reply.
I'm glad to hear that no external circuit or special configuration needed to replace.
Now that the customer is satisfied, I want to declare this case closed.
Thank you for your help.
