BQ27542-G1: Under what kinds of condition that cycle count will jump?

Hello Sir

We have a problem on cycle count, whatever battery pack is charging or discharging that cycle count value was jumping.

Due to this pack is on our end customer side, I cannot log it by BqStudio, just a simple data log for you reference.

Please help to provide your recommendations and let us know which DF parameters or HW setting we should be checked.

    Statham,

    The gauge can only increase cycle count when enough discharge has passed to be a % of design capacity. I suspect this is an issue with the logging. Please check the host system that it is logging the correct command, check the signal quality, or check the host is not writing the register.

    Please repeat the test logging using the TI tools and we can debug further.
