CSD95485RWJ: CSD59955RWJ replacement

Part Number: CSD95485RWJ
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CSD59955RWJ, , CSD95480RWJ

Dear all,

Can somebody tell whether the CSD59955RWJ is replaceable with some publicly available TI part? Is maybe CSD95485RWJ compatible? If yes, should all of them be replaced if they are used in parallel in the same group? We are trying to repair a pretty special piece of hardware that has no support from the manufacturer anymore.

Thanks,

Robert

  • Hi Robert,

Yes, you can replace with CSD95485RWJ which is fully compatible. CSD95485RWJ is a higher current version.

If you replace all you may get more uniformed performance among the phases, but I don't see issue if you only replace part of them.

After replacement, you may still want to validate the operation and performance.

  • Thank you very much, this sounds great!

Can you maybe tell which one is the current rating of the old chip? Just to know which of the variants of the CSD9548x series works.

Edit: I just realized that CSD95485RWJ is out of stock everywhere. However, I was able to find a few CSD95481RWJs. Is that high enough current?

    Thanks,

    Robert

  • It's 70A rated peak continuous current. You may check CSD95480RWJ if available, which also works.

CSD95481 is a lower current version.

  • Thank you, I think I found some of these!
