ISO5852S: Equivalent gate driver with desaturation protection

Hi,

We used ISO5852S gate driver in our inverters and its out of stock for a long time.

Could you please suggest some other isolated gate driver for high side and low side application with desaturation protection.

Rajasekaran,

ISO5452 is P2P and can be dropped in with no layout changes.

If you do not need the soft turn off feature, ISO5851 or ISO5451 can also be substituted

Alternatively I would suggest to look at UCC21750 / UCC21710 which are functionally and pinout very similar but have higher drive strength.

Their supply outlook is actually much better than ISO5x5x long term, so this is what I would recommend.

You can actually make a combo layout that support both UCC21750/10 and ISO5852S, the only difference is 3 resistors, or you can do it with solder jumpers.
