TPS25947: Can TPS259474L and LM73100 replace each other?

Hi Team,

Due to LM73100 shortage, we would like to use TPS259474L as 2nd source. Look like they are p2p and same functionality except for TPS259474L has adjustable OCP.

1. Is there any other difference for LM73100 and TPS259474L co-design?

2. The pin9 of LM73100 connect to GND in customer design now. Is it okay for pin9 of TPS259474L connect to GND directly?

Yes only overcurrent is major difference. It is a fault case when shorting pin 9 to GND for TPS25947 device and device will turn off. How much is the current we need to support?

Hi Kunal,

The maximum current is 2A. So, look like we need reserve a resistor to GND for Pin9 such as 1.2 kohm(set current limited about 2.8A). Am I correct?

yes a resistor need to be added between ILIM pin and GND.
