There are very slight differences between the DGN0008D and the DGN0008G thermal pad dimensions. The reason for these small differences between is because the part is/was manufactured at two different sites. So, depending what site your parts were sourced from, will dictate what drawings to use.
The “G” variation has a larger thermal pad area and may give more flexibility.
