TPS65400: External supply on PIN Chip Enable

Part Number: TPS65400

Hello,

I want to turn on the TPS65400 externally. So I found that the PIN CE (Chip Enable) could make the job.

My idea was to directly connect the output of my comparator to the pin CE. With that I can short-circuit the pin CE when the comparator is OFF and release the pin CE when the comparator is ON. My comparator is the a push-pull comparator.

Nevertheless, in the datasheet you say that "Driving with a push-pull output is not recommended." but why ? Cause my comparator output voltage is around 3V so below the max voltage rating of the pin (The max is 7V).

If I can't connect this comparator directly to the pin, which circuit can I use to control the chip correctly ? I thought about using a bipolar transistor but the leakage collector current could disturb the source current of the pin CE (2uA).
