BQ4050: TI Battery studio default fails are wrong (safety concerns)

Dear TI,

We'd like to start with TI default values before making changes to our battery monitor (for obvious safety reasons we don't want to just go hacking values in).

But here's the problem: TI's Battery Management Studio "Import->Defaults" button and the "Default Value" in the CSV don't line up (unless i'm doing something wrong). Please see below:

Can you please provide a CSV with the correct defautls?

Hello Evan,

Calibration values are not imported by default in bqStudio. Each pack can have different calibration values and calibration is expected to be part of the manufacturing process after data flash is programmed.

You could change this behavior in Preferences under Data flash import but we recommend that you perform calibration instead of writing the default value.

Hi Shirish,

Thanks for the quick response. After modifying Preferences the defaults now match up thanks. Yes we will calibrate but we wanted to start with default settings across written into the flash before this starts.

I should also point out there's some inconsistencies in the datasheet as well that might cause issues:

The FET is not active by default.
