TPS7A26: Replacement solution to SPX3819

Hi LDO folk,

I'm looking for SPX3819 replacement ;12VIN 3.3/5VOUT (adjustable type or fixed type). It looks the best fit is LP2989, but TPS7A26 is the newer device. Customer also can reduce the output capacitance, thereby possibly reducing the PCB space. Just want to double check :

(1) if TPS7A26 is a better suggestion to LP2989 

(2) anything we can highlight on TPS7A26 over SPX3819

    Are they open for a non P2P option? If so, then TPS7A26 is a newer device compared to LP2989.

    Furthermore, there are some specs that show better performance with the TPS7A26 that have to be closely compared looking at the Data Sheet.

    For example Vdo, at full load condition over all temperature ranges, SPX3819 shows 700mV whereas TPS7A26 shows 590mV as MAX at full load for all temperature ranges.
