BQ24780S: #PROCHOT behavior of ACOK and BATPRES

Part Number: BQ24780S

Hi Team,

My customer is studying every PROCHOT behavior of BQ24780S is latch or just a pulse. Also, there are 2 questions as below:

1. According to datasheet, will PROCHOT behavior of ACOK and BATPRES are latch or pull low pulse? Could you please help to clear what is mean one-shot

2. My customer test the PROCHOT behavior of ACOK and BATPRES and found PROCHOT was latched. But I reproduced condition on EVM and found the PROCHOT behavior was a pull low pulse.

Could you please comment about customer's waveform? Thanks.

Test method:

a. AC+DC

b. remove AC ADP

c. ACOK will be latch till 0x3CH) bit2=0

Charge setting as below.

0x3C 0x9A56H

0x3D 0x7739H

Best regards,

Hardy

  • When any event in PROCHOT profile is triggered, PROCHOT is asserted low for minimum 10 ms (default
REG0x3C[4:3]=10). At the end of the 10 ms, if the PROCHOT event is still active, the pulse gets extended.

One shot means one minimum 10ms pulse.
